Hair in a bob?

had my hair cut above my shoulders in a bob but 2 mins after dryin and straightening it kinks out,wot product will make it stay straight all day without makin it heavy or greasy?

The reason it kinks out is because you use a straightner, when ur hair is in that style unfortunatley it means you need to blow dry it properly into the right shape. you need a decent hairdryer and a rolly brush (the steel thin bristle kind they use in hairdressers), when you wash your hair towel dry it then section by section dry it using the rolly brush and turning it under as you go... its hard at first but you'll get used to it (oh and no products will really help this is pure hard work by blowdry)

Hair in a bob?

absolutely no clue...my hair is long and stick straght...you wish you had my hair ; )

You could have it permanently straightened. It sounds extreme but it takes so much of the hassle away.It grows out like a colour but should last about 6 months if you have european hair.

The only way you will not be able to have this done is if you have bleach hilites in your hair.

Well you should try applying a very light weight product for heat styling before straightening and it may also help to use a leave in conditioner before drying or may just need a trim.

Try styling products from KeraCare or Dudley. Go into a hair supply and dip test, also read ingredients to make sure the first ingredient listed is water, you don't want anything oil based, no matter what kind of oil. Actually make sure the first three ingredients don't include oil. And use product sparingly before applying heat, you don't want your hair to sizzle and become damaged.

Think about getting a wash and set and step away from heating appliances. Hood dryers are better for you hair than blow dryers. All around even heat.

Make sure you get all the shampoo out. Get a good one from a beauty shop. When you use that good conditioner, take time to rinse it all out, too. Don't buy cheap stuff. It's not worth it.

When you wash and condition hair,. dry it well, with a towel. Then part it and run a comb through it. Now here comes the important part, WHEN DRYING, SCRUNCH IT. THAT MEANS GRABBING HAIR AND PULLING IT UP, WITH DRYER BLOWING ON IT, AND ALSO UNDER THE HAIR, BECAUSE THIS IS REALLY THE SECRET TO HAVE IT SEEM MORE SHAPELY, THEN SCRUNCH IT GOOD. THIS GIVES HEIGHT AND WON'T LET IT FLATTEN OUT. EVEN THOUGH IT'S A BOB, YOU WANT A LITTLE HEIGHT ON TOP.

Then dry the other areas, and go back to the areas that need a little height, or smootness, and grab that hair and hold it in the direction you want it to go. Let the sides go down, then may need a little spray or something so they don't stick out in the wrong places, but

'SCRUNCH BABY, SCRUNCH!' You will love it and it will last. When you are through, run your fingers through it and spray - - just lightly.

Another trick, and this sounds silly, is after the wash, rinse, condition, just pour about 1/2 can of beer on hair and rub it in. It won't smell afterwards, and BEER JUST MIGHT GIVE YOU THAT EXTRA BODY IF YOU NEED IT TO MAKE THE ABOVE SCRUNCHING WORK BETTER. Good luck. It works for me.

Poker Straight by Lee Stafford is extremely good, but if you're really rich, just go to hairdresser everyday %26amp; get them to do your hair, not only will you look fab but you'll enjoy being pampered..... sorry getting carried away there cos sometimes thats what I wish I could do, but it's something for you to think about if you win the lottery. If none of the answers on here help, go into a salon %26amp; ask what tips they have, after all, they dont charge for giving advice. Goodluck

you got the wrong straightener... if it was doing its job properly it would stay straight regardless of your hair type. no product will tame your hair if a straightener cant. upgrade... you wont regret it. the more you pay for it, the better the results.... the lesser you pay, the more nasty it is!! all you shoudl need to put on is a bit of hairspray to keep the short bits down... my recommendation... GHD.

Get Boots permanant straightening system - "Straighten" - 鎷?4.99p - you'll need a mate to help, but this product is fierce! I used it last Friday, hubby was hairdresser, it took 1hr 1/2 and my hair looks fab - though I shouldn't say so myself!! My hair has always had a mad kink in it, and then I permed it, really curly, in a moment of utter madness last November - but now, after using this product it's as straight as if I had used irons on it - and I just wash and blow dry - I don't even use a bush or comb, it just dries perfectly straight! I had wanted to have the salon Yuko straightening system done but was quoted 鎷?60 for the privilege! but the results with " Straighten" are equally as good!
