Ive got the same problem, myhair is just past my shoulders and im not sure whether to go for the bob. Problem is, is that if you don't like it then you can't change it! Unless you have hair extensions - and me, i'd have to have proper ones, not cheap ones, so go for it if your daring!

I was in the same dilemma just a few months ago. I went to the hairdresser and said "cut it short". I 've always had long hair. I LOVE my new short haircut. It's much easier to manage, it quick to get ready in the morning and everyone who's ever known me... loves it too.

Sometime you just need to do it. It will grow back.

i love bobs. but they only work on some face shapes. like oval, heart, and oblong. to modernize them you can get more layers. see the only problem is that u will probaby regret having short hair, because it takes a long time to grow out

you could have a converted bob these are not out of fashion i have one its like posh spices,if not what you want have an ordinary one with a few layers making it wispey and a choppy look,or just have that look with length you got or feathered aroung your face have a side parting with a bit of shape.i had mine like this before had it cut,nice sheek and sexy.most of all have what you want done.ask the hairdressers to suprise you even this can turn out well just say what you dont want.xx

I think you have more flexibility with longer hair, pony tails, pin ups, etc. Before making a big decision to "cut it off", how about adding some color to it to see if it adds some life?

I am up in the air about cutting mine (its to the middle of my back ...but at the same time, summer is approaching and it would be just grand to start it off with a cute short cut.

Just my opinion. I like long hair on women.

One thing to remember; it's your hair. Don't do anything to it, for someone else. Do it for yourself. As long as you are happy with the results, that is what matters.

If you do want to shorten it, do it in stages. That way, your not to shocked by the end results.

They actually are quite fashionable at the moment I should know :) but personally I always had one as a child and I couldn't think of anything worse for me, but if you have small features, and a small face it could look really nice. xx

A concave bob is sooooo hot right now...think of how posh spice's was (she's gone even shorter now) But get a great cutter someone who will sass it up and not do a crappy boring cut. Sex it up and enjoy it!! Go for it

it depends on if at night your hair bugs you and you want to keep tying it up, a bob eliminates this problem and suits most people it is still long enough to feel like long hair but not too short.

I cut and coloured my hair about 2 months ago. To get my bob looking good I have to wash blow dry and straighten my hair every day. My hair is now full of frizz I can't tie it up anymore to let it rest and wish i'd kept my good condition long hair. Make sure you're absolutely sure before you go ahead.

If your hair is like your avatar's, then i wouldn't advise it. In fact, i wouldn't really advise it on any terms. But that's just because it's not what i like, meaning i'd never do it myself. But who cares what I think? If you like it, if you feel you need a change, you should do it, because getting a hair cut(especially a drastic one like that) will make you feel fresh and renewed! It's really good if you're trying to get over some sort of loss, or if you just want a fresh outlook in life. Good Luck, do whatever makes you feel good! =)
