Im not sure how you add a pic, but i did the same thing last year. I had seriously long hair, although mine is blonde, right down my back, and decided to have it all cut off!!

I'd never had my hair cut before, apart from the ends trimmed, so as you can imagine, over twenty years of growing had made it really long. When he first cut off my ponytail i was like 'oh my god'!! but then loved it so much!!

I completely felt like a brand new me!! which at the time i was in need of! I do sometimes think i miss being able to do some things with it, but not all that often. I enjoy being able to have it cut in to different short styles, and it grows soooo fast!! Loads of people have said it looks much better, nobody has said they preferred it longer, although they may not incase it upset me. But i dont think that is the case, i have honest friends.

The best thing you could do is speak to your hairdresser, mine had been saying for years how much he thought a bob would suit me, but did like it long. He now thinks its in much better condition, and although it can sometimes take longer to style, stays much neater and styled for longer. My long hair used to get really knotty and untidy really quickly.

Best thing to do is have a word with your hairdresser and make sure its one that will be honest with you, not one thats scissor-happy!!

I would recommend that you get your hair cut in instalments otherwise you might regret such a drastic cut.

No, i think you should maybe get some highlights and layers but don't cut it off or you will regret it!

If you are fat a bob won't suit your face shape lol..x

I did that- I had really really long black hair, I had been growing it to get married and after the wedding I decided I fancied a change and just did it!

I really loved it while it was in the style but funnily enough I ended up finding it harder to maintain than long hair- I had to use ghd's on it everyday and always dry it into the style other wise it just looked mad.

Anyhow after a while I got a little bored again and I am trying to grow it- it has been a hard slog, I am getting there but I dont think I will do it again.

Anyhow- If you are anything like me once you get an idea in your head you think about it until you do it- then just go for it!

if you have thick hair it might not look right but just remember it will take a long time to grow it again =)

Go for forward graduation a bob that gets longer towards the front and is shorter at the back this way you keep the length at the front like Victoria Beckham
