Don't go overboard on the eyes. Just do a thin line of eyeliner that extends to the outer corner- like a cateye look. Apply lots of mascara and use a nice rosy-red lip color. Back in the 60's they didn't use all of the makeup colors we use today.

Supplies:

*Black Eyeliner (u can use just pencil, but liquid on the top lashes will make it more retro).

* Red, Copper, or just any bright lipstick and liner.

* Makeup like you usually do it if you wear it.

*Mascara

DIRECTIONS:

)Line the top lashes with the black pencil liner. *Note you will need pencil, but you dont need liquid.*

Make sure you do this before you apply the lashes.

)Glue the long fake lashes on. Let the glue dry. Maybe 10 minutes would be good.

)Take the mascara and use it on your lashes; Top and bottom. This will blend the fake and real lashes together so it doesn't look fake.

)This step is optional but best: Take the liquid liner and make like a cat eye swoop at the end. You could just use the liner at the outer corner of your eye and make a swoop if your hand isn't steady. (LOL)

)Line the inner rims of your bottom lashes if desired.

LIPS:

)Apply lip balm.

)Apply the liner. (All this does is makes the color brighter and it stays on longer. And make sure you fill in the entire lip, like its lipstick.)

)Apply the lipstick. (Easy peasy lemon squeasy! LOL)

Then if you want you can do fire-engine red nails.

For your hair I'd do like a retro bob thing:

Straighten your hair if its not stick-straight lol.

Then Tease tease tease!!!

then you can flip the ends of your hair. and stick a bow on top.

I've had a 60's party for my 13th birthday have powder blue eyeshadow and scarlet red lipstick and long false eyelashes.

The hair is perfect.

Think - short hemlines, miniskirts, lots of color, fake eyelashes, bright eyeshadow, Twiggy and lipstick. Airline stewardesses were the peak of fashion, air travel was reserved for the rich. Essentially, keep everything basic. A light peach on the lips. light blush. Maybe a faint green or blue shadow on the lids, but you will want thick fake lashes and a nice black liquid liner.
