I don't know about a bob, but what about just an inch or so off the length and lightly layering? That includes a subtle face frame. I'm not saying this as an insult or compliment but stacking and bobbing your hair may not compliment your thin face. Face framing draws attention to your face (good for you). I would think you could have enough movement in your hair to avoid having to "set" it or anything.

I think it would work. It looks as though you have a long or oval face judging by your pic, but I'm not sure. I say go for it. I would however recommend maybe getting a shorter bob, possibly at chin-legnth. Longer hair tends to legnthen the face and make it appear thinner, which you definitely don't want to do.
