i have a shag cut (think mrs brady on brady bunch), but its thinned out at the ends all around and the shortest being at the very top at 4 inches... i want to go get an inverted bob haircut but was wondering if it would be possible or would i need to grow my hair out so that my hair is all the same length..or at least so that the top hair is longer than 4 inches. im really hoping it can be done!

there is no reason you could not start this cut. start inversion at opcipital bone and angle to just below the ears( kind of like the old wedge) be patient and good luck!

Yes, it can be done..Some of my friends do that and it turn out to be gorgeous than a normal one. If you really want it, it worth a try and you will be happy with the results (:

well bob cuts are generally the same length so i guess if you wouldnt mind them being different lengths. ps. 4" is too short for an all rounder bob cut

i believe the 60's type bob is a one length. if your shortest piece is four inches, your bob will be super short? are you talking like the vidal sassoon signature bob? i think a layered one may work. just depends on the texture. the texture will determine everything, including the time you'll have to spend maintaining your cute 'do in the morning!
and prob dont wanna let the stylist use a razor on this cut. hard lines for this cut.

get a textured bob that what i got , i had layered hair before i got it cut and it turned out nice
