I have short hair that is a chin lengthed bob and i just dont know how to curl my hair in spiral how do i??

I recommend going into either a salon or a school and ask to have it done. At a school it would be fairly inexpensive.

Ask them to show you how to do it. A good stylist wants you to know how to do your hair when your not in their chair. Don't be afriad to ask!

Having someone show you is the best way to learn something like this.

If you'd like to try it yourself:

Get a lot of clips and section your hair into sections that are 1" or smaller.

Start at the top of your head around the part, and clip it up.

move down your head another inchand clip it up. The hair you are taking is an inch strip from ear to ear, if that makes sence. Since your section has hair from either side of your head, it may be too short to fit into one clip, so use one clip for either side, or three for either side and the middle in the back. continue dividing your hair into 1" sections till all but the last inch at the bottom of your hairline (where it stops by your neck) is clipped up. It will take you like 10 mins to do it, but it will make the curling process so so much easier. Curling your own hair is hard cause you can't see the back of your head.

So now that you have manageable sections start curling at the bottom section. You need a smaller barrelled curling iron, If you don't have one, then I recommend going to sallys and buying a small curling iron, like the diameter of one of your fingers. You'll get much more defined curls on your short hair with a smaller barrel.

If your iron is too big, it will not work, it will simply wave your hair.

Take a small section of your hair (you decide how much hair you can work with and get the size of curl you want. The less hair you take the longer it will take of course).

You can curl your hair one of two ways, which ever works for you. Start at the bottom and twist the hair up along the barrell; or start holding the iron the the top of your hair strand as close to the head as you can and wind the hair down along the barrell. If you do it the second way you will have to twist the hair along the barrell with you hand and hold the tip at the bottom. If you do it the first way you only have to twist the iron to get the hair to wrap around it.

Spray each section of hair with a good hair spray (if you want it to last, if you want the curls to loosen alot then don't spray it very much). The more spray you use the harder your hair will feel, but the longer it will last. You may want to use a mousse or pomade or gloss drop to define the curls before you spray them, if there are alot of flyaways. Lightly run your fingers along the curl with the product to do so.

Now take down the next section you have clipped up and continue the process. It is awkard trying to curl the hair on the back of your head. Don't expect it to be easy the first few times you do it. It takes practice to get used to it of course.

Expect it to take a long time too until you do get used to it.

Try to make the curls at your part the nicest since obviously they show alot more than the curls at the bottom. That means messing up at the bottom is usually ok and no one will notice.

If you want it to be easier, than try parting the hair into three sections, one on the top of your head, the second in the middle of your head, and the last at the bottom near your neck. Start at the bottom section and take random pieces to curl. Don't curl the whole section, just a few strands. Spray it. Then move up to the next section do the same and spray it. The top section you can take a lot more random strands to curl. It will take less than half the time and looks great.

Long winded answer, but I want to make sure you understand each step. Email me if you have questions.

P.s. if you hair is really healthy it will be difficult to curl or it may not hold the curls very long. If so use more product!

Do small, thin sections at a time and hold your curling iron straight up and down.
